Located in Baoan Village, the station was built in 1899 and named Chelucian Station according to the local tribal name at that time. The station building, integrating orien-tal and western styles, was built with Tai-wanese cypress. With a unique style and ele-gant look, the building survived different natural disasters over time. As one of the few wooden stations in existence today, Baoan Railway Station attracts visitors for photo opportunities. The TRA thus gave an order in 1993 to permanently preserve the station per enthusiasm shown by visitors.
